This Christmas, Wheresoever was able to provide a blessing of a few assorted items to orphans and widows in both Mozambique and malawi. At the mission base in Mozambique, there were so many orphans that it needed to be broken down into two events, one on Christmas Day, the second on New Year's Eve. Plus another event for widows on New Years Day. The gifts were items such as rice, soap, soy beans, salt, vaseline and juice.
In Malawi, not long after the orphans and elderly were blessed, the Wheresoever shelter was washed away by heavy rains.
This is an important time to help the needy because in both countries this is referred to as the "hunger season" as they wait for the harvest in the spring. This year it may be worse because the rains started very late.
